Construction process of steel sheet pile

The steel sheet pile is a kind of steel structure with linkages on the edge, and the linkages can be freely combined to form a continuous and compact retaining wall or water retaining wall. Steel sheet piles can be divided into hot-rolled/tensile steel sheet piles and cold-formed steel sheet piles according to their different processing and manufacturing techniques.

1. Construction preparation of steel sheet piles

2. Driving of steel sheet piles


(1) Input method selection.

Its advantage is that the construction is simple and fast, and does not require other auxiliary supports. Its disadvantages are: it is easy to make the sheet pile tilt to one side, and it is not easy to correct after the error accumulates. Therefore, the single driving method is only applicable to the case where the requirements for the sheet pile wall are not high and the length of the sheet pile is small (such as less than 10 m).

(2) Screen-type entry method
It is to insert 10-20 steel sheet piles into the guide frame in a row, in the shape of a screen, and then drive them in batches. When driving, the steel sheet piles at both ends of the screen wall are first driven to the design elevation or a certain depth to become positioning sheet piles, and then 1/3 and 1/2 sheet pile heights are stepped in the middle in order. The advantages of the screen-type driving method are: it can reduce the accumulation of inclination errors, prevent excessive inclination, and it is easy to achieve closure and closure, which can ensure the construction quality of the sheet pile wall. Its disadvantages are: the self-supporting height of the inserted pile is relatively large, and attention should be paid to the stability and construction safety of the inserted pile.

(3) The driving of steel sheet piles.
When piling, the accuracy of the driving position and direction of the first and second steel sheet piles to be set at the beginning should be ensured. It can serve as a guide for the model. Generally, it should be measured once every 1m driven. The corner and closed construction of steel sheet piles can adopt special-shaped sheet piles, connector methods, seam lap joint methods, and axis adjustment methods. In order to ensure safe construction, attention should be paid to observing and protecting important pipelines and high-voltage cables within the scope of work.

(4) Steel sheet pile removal.
When backfilling the foundation pit, the steel sheet piles should be pulled out so that they can be reused after repairing. Before pulling out, it is necessary to study the order of pulling out steel sheet piles, the time of pulling out, and the treatment method of pile holes.
