How to store galvanized pipe in summer

The weather in summer is hot and humid. In this state, the surface of galvanized products is prone to alkali resistance (commonly known as white rust). If the plated goods are not picked up in time and unpacked and used when they arrive at the destination, it is easy to have anti-alkali phenomenon, so as to prevent irresistible losses. The service life of galvanized pipe is generally 8-12 years, and the average service life is 10 years, which can be extended in a dry environment.

Storage points of galvanized steel pipe
1. When stacking, there should be no condensed water and heat on the surface of galvanized steel pipes.
2. Air circulation should be maintained in the warehouse, and the moisture content in the air should not be within the range of 60~95%.
3. Can not be stacked in harmful gas and dusty place.
4. Apply oil, passivation treatment or organic coating on the surface of the galvanized layer.

The treatment method of galvanized steel pipe getting wet from water
1. The whole piece should be disassembled immediately when it encounters water, and placed in a ventilated place to dry.
2. If there are slight white rust spots on the surface, they should be disassembled and dried in the sun immediately, and wiped off in time until the white rust turns into powder. Hot-dip galvanized manual self-painting is used for covering spraying, which does not affect the anti-rust effect.

How to remove white rust:
1. If the color of the white rust is found to be flaky, you can wash it off in water first, then dry the zinc layer with a towel, and then use a brush dipped in talcum powder and caustic soda to brush it.
2. If the color of the white rust is found to be gray and dark, use an aqueous solution of acidic potassium tartrate and ammonium carbonate to brush the corroded part with a brush, wipe it off with a sponge soaked in calcium carbonate, and then rinse with water and dry.
