How to control the strength of thick-walled spiral steel pipe better?

The strength of thick-walled ssaw steel pipes is generally higher than that of large-diameter straight seam steel pipes. A narrower billet can be used to produce welded pipes with larger pipe diameters, and a billet of the same width can be used to produce welded pipes with different pipe diameters. But compared with the straight seam pipe of the same length, the length of the weld is increased by 40-100%, and the production speed is lower. After cutting into single steel pipes, each batch of three steel pipe heads shall undergo a strict first inspection system to check the mechanical function, chemical composition, melting condition of the weld, the surface quality of the steel pipe, and pass non-destructive inspection and repair to ensure that the pipe manufacturing process is qualified. Before it can be officially put into production.



There should be a certain channel between the stacks of thick-walled spiral steel pipes. The width of the inspection channel is generally about 0.5m. The width of the access channel depends on the size of the material and the transportation machinery, generally 1.5 to 2m. The stack height does not exceed 1.2m for manual operations, 1.5m for mechanical operations, and the stack width does not exceed 2.5m. The height of the stack bottom of thick-walled spiral steel pipes is based on the detailed situation, if the warehouse is on the cement floor of the rising sun , The height of the padding is only 0.1m; if it is mud ground, the padding height must be 0.2 to 0.5m. If stored in the open, the height of the cement floor should be about 0.3 to 0.5m, and the height of the sandy floor should be 0.5 to 0.7m.

The steel pipe has strong pressure-bearing capacity and good plasticity, which is convenient for welding and processing. Generally, the spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe for low-pressure fluid transportation is made by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding or single-sided welding. It is used for water, gas, air and steam. The characteristics of submerged arc welded steel pipes and spiral steel pipes for general low-pressure fluid transportation: large-diameter straight seam steel pipes have simple production process, low cost, and rapid development. The strength of thick-walled spiral steel pipes is generally higher than that of large-diameter straight seam steel pipes.
