Wear-resistant steel pipe

Wear-resistant steel pipe is a steel pipe made of steel plate or steel strip after crimping and welding. The production process of the wear-resistant pipe is simple, the production efficiency is high, the variety and specifications are many, and the equipment capital is low, but the general strength is lower than that of the seamless steel pipe. Since the 1930s, the quality of welds has been continuously improved, and the varieties and specifications of wear-resistant pipes have been increasing, and have replaced seamless steel pipes in some fields. Wear-resistant pipes are divided into SSAW steel pipes and LSAW steel pipes according to the form of welds.

Wear-resistant steel pipes are widely used in electric power, metallurgy, mining, coal, chemical and other industries to transport abrasive granular materials and corrosive media such as sand, stone, pulverized coal, ash, and aluminum liquid.

Characteristics of wear-resistant steel pipes
1. High wear resistance:
The thickness of the wear-resistant layer of the wear-resistant steel pipe is 3-12 mm, and the hardness of the wear-resistant layer can reach HRC58-62. The wear resistance is more than 15-20 times that of ordinary steel pipes, and the wear resistance is much higher than that of spray welding and thermal spraying.
2. Better impact performance:
The wear-resistant steel pipe is a double-layer metal structure. The wear-resistant layer and the base material are metallurgically bonded. The bonding strength is high. It can absorb energy during the impact process, and the wear-resistant layer will not fall off.It can be applied to the working conditions with strong vibration and shock.
3. Good temperature resistance:
The alloy carbide of wear-resistant steel pipe has strong stability at high temperature, and the wear-resistant steel plate can be used within 500°C and can be used within 1200°C.
4. Strong connection performance:
The base material of wear-resistant steel pipe is ordinary Q235 steel plate, which ensures that the wear-resistant steel plate has toughness and plasticity, provides strength against external force, and can be connected with other structures by welding, plug welding, bolt connection, etc.The connection is firm, not easy to fall off, and there are more connection methods than other materials.
5. Good choice performance:
For wear-resistant steel pipes, choose base materials of different thicknesses, and surfacing alloy wear-resistant layers of different layers and thicknesses to obtain steel pipes of different thicknesses and different uses, and the maximum thickness can reach more than 30mm;
6. Good processing performance:
Wear-resistant steel pipes can be processed into different specifications and sizes according to requirements, and can be processed, cold-formed, welded, bent, etc., which are convenient to use; they can be tailored and welded on site, making maintenance and replacement work time-saving, convenient, and greatly reducing work intensity.
7. Good value for money:
The price of wear-resistant steel pipe is higher than that of ordinary materials, but considering the service life of the product, comprehensively considering maintenance costs, spare parts costs and downtime losses, its performance-price ratio is much higher than that of ordinary steel pipes and other materials.

Classification of wear-resistant steel pipes
1. Wear-resistant ceramic tube
The tube is composed of three layers of corundum ceramics, transition layer and steel pipe (seamless pipe, welded pipe) from inside to outside. It has high strength, good toughness, impact resistance and good welding performance.
2. Cast stone wear-resistant pipe
The outer layer is spiral welded pipe, seamless pipe or straight seam welded pipe, and the inner wall is cast stone. Cast stone is a processed silicate crystalline material, using natural rock or industrial waste as the main raw material. Non-metallic industrial materials with regular crystal arrangement, hard texture and fine texture made by batching, melting, pouring, heat treatment and other processes.
3. Cast steel wear-resistant pipe
Cast steel (including alloy steel), its manufacturing process is relatively simple. However, the surface hardness of cast steel is much lower than that of ceramics due to the limitations of material properties and process limitations.
4. Paste wear-resistant tube
The outer layer is a seamless steel pipe or a straight seam welded pipe, and the inner wall is a wear-resistant ceramic lining plate. The rare metal oxide is used as a flux, and the special corundum ceramic is calcined at a high temperature of 1700 Baidu. Then use special rubber and high-strength adhesives to combine steel pipes.

Note: The seamless pipe means a hollow section and is widely used as a pipeline for transporting fluids, such as pipelines for transporting oil, natural gas, gas, water and certain solid materials
